Stem cells treat eye problem in rat tests

Advanced Cell Technology of Alameda, which stirred a national fuss in August when it claimed to have found a way to make stem-cell lines without destroying embryos, now says it has used human embryonic stem cells to treat eye disorders in rats. (Mercury News)
