How a Near-Death Experience Could Change the Way You Live

(NPR) – Experiences like Schiefer’s aren’t uncommon. Researchers have found that between 10 and 20% of people who have a documented cardiac arrest — that is, when their hearts stop — will report a near-death experience, says Dr. Bruce Greyson, professor emeritus of psychiatry and neurobehavioral sciences at the University of Virginia.
