Please join us on Monday\, April 20th\, from 3-4pm ET via Zoom for PGTME Listens. \nEach spring\, the Working Group on Pediatric Gene Therapy & Medical Ethics at NYU Grossman School of Medicine hosts virtual listening sessions with different groups of gene therapy stakeholders. If you are employed by a biotech\, pharmaceutical company\, or a non-academic sponsor\, you are eligible to participate in the RESCHEDULED industry members session on Monday\, April 20th.\nThe purpose of this event is for you to tell us what ethical issues are on your mind\, with regard to pediatric gene therapy clinical trials and the introduction of gene therapies into the medical care of kids. SUMMARY:2026 Colorado Healthcare Ethics Forum (CHEF) ANNUAL CONFERENCE  - Underexplored Ethical Issues at the End of Life
DESCRIPTION:This event brings together clinicians\, ethicists\, and scholars to examine complex ethical questions that arise in end-of-life care but often receive limited attention in clinical training and discussion. Through a series of expert presentations\, this program will explore ethical challenges related to determinations of non-beneficial treatment\, physician proxy decision-making\, and the uncertainty that frequently accompanies serious illness prognoses. Speakers will also address the ethical dimensions of caring for vulnerable older adults\, strategies for communicating difficult news to patients and families\, and the responsibilities clinicians hold in honoring cultural and personal death rituals. Together\, these discussions aim to deepen participants’ understanding of ethically grounded\, compassionate care at the end of life.

The first day focuses on transitions across the pediatric continuum\, including neonatal transitions into pediatrics and adolescent transitions out of pediatric systems\, with attention to continuity\, equity\, and shared decision-making. The second day explores the ethical impact of new and emerging technologies on children and pediatric medicine\, addressing how innovation shapes care delivery\, data use\, and clinical decision-making.
