The Ethics of MAID: Should Wisconsin Have a Medical Aid in Dying Statute?

UnityPoint Health – Meriter is excited to host our Fall Ethics Conference: “The Ethics of MAID: Should Wisconsin Have a Medical Aid in Dying Statute?” on November 6th, from 8 am to 12 pm.

With Illinois recently legalizing medical aid in dying (MAID), the ethical debate on MAID is particularly relevant to surrounding states, including Wisconsin. We are excited to host lectures on MAID and VSED by our distinguished speakers:

• Arthur Caplan, PhD – Professor Emeritus, NYU Grossman School of Medicine and formerly Sidney D. Caplan Professor of Bioethics, University of Pennsylvania Perelman School of Medicine
• Lydia Dugdale, MD, MAR – Dorothy L. and Daniel H. Silberberg Professor of Medicine, Columbia University Medical Center
• John Moskop, PhD – Professor Emeritus and formerly Wallace and Mona Wu Chair in Biomedical Ethics, Wake Forest University School of Medicine
