‘Charting the Future for Clinical Ethics: A Working UnConference’

Sutter Health’s Program in Medicine and Human Values is pleased to host ‘Charting the Future for Clinical Ethics: A Working UnConference’.

This 4th Clinical Ethics UnConference will bring together experienced clinical ethicists and ethics program leaders from healthcare systems across diverse settings and geographic areas to connect and problem-solve for the rapidly growing profession of clinical ethics.

Attendees will participate in sessions focusing on developing action-oriented innovations and creating solutions to challenges in clinical ethics practice and program development to effectively impact quality patient care.

Like previous Clinical Ethics UnConferences held at Cleveland Clinic, Houston Methodist – Baylor, and Wellstar, this UnConference will have no plenary didactics or traditional presentation formats.

The event includes:

• Peer-to-Peer Solution-Sharing through structured and facilitated crowdsourcing
• Targeted Lightning Talks on cutting-edge practices in clinical ethics
• Idea Lab: A place to experiment with novel ideas, constructive engagement, collaborative partnerships, and ideating development

The event culminates in the creation of enduring work products including best practice guidelines and contributions to the literature.
