FreeGeorgetown University’s Kennedy Institute of Ethics, in partnership with the Johns Hopkins Berman Institute of Bioethics, will host this Festschrift on Thursday, March 26, 2026 to honor the life, work, and enduring legacy of philosopher and bioethics pioneer
Tom L. Beauchamp (1939–2025).
The all-day event will bring together leading scholars whose work has been shaped by Beauchamp’s foundational contributions to ethical theory, research ethics,
animal rights, and public policy.
