When a Patient Hopes for a Miracle: Toward Justified Responses

This live virtual event will feature a compelling discussion led by Dr. Trevor Bibler, Associate Professor at the Center for Medical Ethics and Health Policy at Baylor College of Medicine! Learning Objectives:
- Find a shared, basic vocabulary when engaging with patients who hope for a miracle.
- Appreciate the complexity of a hope for a miracle—including its ethical, spiritual, and clinical dimensions.
- Develop justified responses that balance patient autonomy with other ethical obligations.
