(Undark) – A dangerous pattern is emerging in media coverage of these topics. A previously expert-driven debate (still far from settled) about the medical and legal frameworks and best practices in end-of-life care is turning into a political exercise in finger-pointing. Even at this early stage, there is collateral damage: Unprecedented numbers of Americans are removing themselves from organ donor registries.
