More States Weigh ‘End of Life’ Laws for Terminally Ill

August 25, 2016

(USA Today) – Opponents, some led by physicians, are working to overturn the legislation in all four states. After setbacks in Oregon and Washington, the groups are focusing on waging court fights in Vermont and California. A judge set a hearing for Thursday, but the date was later moved to Friday in Riverside, Calif., to hear arguments on the case. Efforts are also underway to bring the controversial law to other states, including New Jersey, Utah, Colorado and Washington, D.C., all have been weighing their own aid-in-dying bills.
