A White Woman Searches for Her Black Family

(The Wall Street Journal) – Christine Jacobsen grew up thinking of herself as white. She was raised by white parents. One day, she took home a DNA test. Ms. Jacobsen, 67, learned she has West African ancestry, which led her to the discovery that her biological father, a man she never knew, was black. She has been trying to reconcile those facts ever since.
