Missouri: States go own way on science

A proposed constitutional amendment on the Nov. 7 ballot would offer state protection for any stem-cell research or cures that are acceptable under federal law. It also would make it clear that human reproductive cloning is prohibited. It would not provide any state funding for the research. (Kansas City Star)
