Op-Ed: Depression is not a good reason to die

One morning, when I was 65-years-old, I woke from a broken night’s sleep with an overwhelming desire to kill myself. I had a happy marriage and a rewarding career but I had been depressed for a while and, that day, I truly wanted to die. I woke my wife to tell her how I felt, my daughter came to help and within hours I was in the Royal Free Hospital in London. (Telegraph)
