10th Global Forum on Bioethics in Research
Conflicts of Interests in Health Research
2-4 September 2009
Santiago, Chile

The focus of the Tenth Global Forum on Bioethics in Research is to:

  • provide an inclusive forum for sharing and discussing ethical considerations and experiences related to conflicts of interests in health research, specially in international health research
  • explore new ways of interpreting the conflict of interest phenomenon, challenging new ways of accepted taxonomy and the current remedies to deal with conflicts of interests
  • analyze different settings in which conflicts of interests occur, going beyond financial conflicts of interests faced by clinical researchers, tackling conflicts of interests within research ethics committees, scientific journals, and in regard to the social value of health research.
