“Suffering, Healing, & Compassion in Medicine” is the theme for the next Converging Roads conference sponsored by Assumption Seminary and CHRISTUS Santa Rosa Health Care. The conference is Saturday, November 6, 2010, in San Antonio, Texas. Â Distinguished speakers will explore the Christian foundations of human suffering in a way that fosters hope and meaning; address clinical situations in which patients and practitioners encounter suffering; and examine the ethics of relevant medical options for alleviation of patient suffering.
