Organized by the UNESCO Chair in bioethics of the University of Barcelona with the collaboration of the Catalonian Authority for Data Protection, the seminar will be presented by Dídac Ramírez, honourable Dean of the University of Barcelona. The two main presentations “Intimacy and confidentiality in biomedical and behavioural research” and “Consent, confidentiality and governance in biobanks research” will be lead respectively by Ruth Macklin, Professor of Bioethics at the Albert Einstein College, New York and Patricia Kosseim, General Attorney for the Direction of Legal, Political and Parliamentary Services of the Canadian Commission for Data Protection.
