This year’s conference will address ethical issues in priority-setting in health care. The conference will begin with three detailed case studies drawn from recent experiences in developed and developing countries. Subsequent speakers will identify ethical issues arising in these and other priority-setting dilemmas and will explore possible resolutions. Speakers will include health officials, health policy analysts, physicians, economists, philosophers, and lawyers. The program will be of interest to a similar range of scholars and professionals interested in rigorous analysis of the normative dimensions of health policy.

Two-day conference on health resources prioritization. The presentation of three real-world cases will provide the backdrop for philosophical discussion on the issues raised.
