VI World Conference On Bioethics, Gijón, Spain (18-21 May 2009)
 
The International Society for Bioethics (SIBI) is organizing the VI World Conference on Bioethics in Gijón, Spain from 18-21 May 2009.  SIBI aims to promote reflection, analysis and open discussion on Bioethical issues.  A main objective is to stimulate the interest of Bioethics and to contribute to its consolidation as a civil instrument of dialogue and valuation of the incidence of science and technologies from the respect to Human Rights, nature and the environment.
 
The conference is held in the two official languages of Spanish and English. The format is lectures combined with extensive deliberation and debate.

Hunger, poverty and bioethics
Hunger, poverty and biotechnology
Informed Consent
 
Call for papers:
The deadline for submission of oral Presentations (abstract and presentation) is on 19 April 2009.
