“Etats Généraux francophones de la bioéthique, regard francophone sur le débat bioéthique”

The International Association of Law, Ethics and Society, the French National Commission for UNESCO and the Institut Pasteur is organizing the “Etats Généraux francophones de la bioéthique, regard francophone sur le débat bioéthique” on 8 July 2009 at the Institut Pasteur in Paris.

Structured around four themes (public debate, transplantations, biomedical research and education), the aim of this event is:

Рto open up the Etats g̩n̩raux on bioethics to the francophone dimension;
– to put forward the universality of bioethics values and the cultural diversity in relation to their perception;
– to consider the North/South dimension in the bioethics debate (access to health care, transnational research, knowledge sharing).

It will also confirm the establishment of the international francophone network for bioethics in charge of conducting concrete actions in the field of international cooperation on bioethics.
