Description
Intensive Bioethics Course, June 1-5, 2009. Sponsored by the Kennedy Institute of Ethics, Georgetown University, Washington, DC. Course explores the theoretical framework and practical issues of bioethics over 5 days, and includes lectures and discussions by leaders in the field, as well as special topics and break-outs into small groups of approximately 10 persons following each lecture. Plenary lecturers include Tom Beauchamp, James Childress, Vanessa Northington Gamble, Margaret Little, Edmund Pellegrino, Madison Powers, Carol Taylor, Robert Veatch, and LeRoy Walters. Â Small discussion groups follow each lecture. Cost: $1,600 (if paid in full by May 1, 2009; otherwise, $1650). Limited scholarships available. CME credits. Daily breakfasts and lunches are included, plus welcome reception and a closing dinner event.
