Ebola: When to Intervene in Life-Threatening Events, Guidance

(Medscape) – A new set of five points of guidance may help healthcare institutions and clinicians develop policies that incorporate clinician risk into decisions on how to care for patients with Ebola virus disease, according to an article published online December 30 in the Annals of Internal Medicine. Scott Halpern, MD, PhD, and Ezekiel J. Emanuel, MD, PhD, from the University of Pennsylvania, Philadelphia, developed the guidance points.
