As N.C. lege approves anti-abortion bills, gov investigates former eugenics program

This year the North Carolina Legislature has introduced several pieces of anti-abortion legislation. Most recently, the state legislature passed an “informed consent†bill, which mandates 24-hour waiting periods for abortions and requires women to listen to an assessment of the risks of abortion, as well to view an ultrasound description of the fetus. And recently, North Carolina became the third state to strip Planned Parenthood of state family planning funds. (The American Independent)
