Event: The Science of Compassion: Future Directions in End-of-Life and Palliative Care

This trans-NIH summit will examine end-of-life and palliative care research and practice. The summit will begin with a public event on Wednesday evening titled “The Ethics of Science at the End-of-Life: A Town Hall Discussion,” moderated by Susan Dentzer, Editor-in-Chief of Health Affairs.

The scientific program on Thursday and Friday will include keynote presentations, plenary discussions, break-out sessions, and an evening juried poster reception.

This event is free, but registration is required and seating is limited. Walk-ins will be accepted for the town hall event only.
