Genome Guru Wants to Map 10,000 Human Genomes in 10 Years

Genetics pioneer J. Craig Venter is preparing to sequence the genomes of as many as 50 people — possibly including millionaires who pay for the privilege — by the end of 2008. Within a decade, he hopes the number of sequenced genomes will reach 10,000. (Wired)
