To ease the boredom of school, Kevin Warwick took motorbikes apart, tinkered with robots and blew things up. Mostly, though, he was an ordinary boy who found school dull and resented the way children were spoken down to – so he dropped out at 16 and joined British Telecom. Since then, his career has been far from ordinary. In fact, the man is far from ordinary.
