At the end of this program, attendees should have a better understanding of some of the fundamental ethical problems that are raised by – and possibly resolved by – the Affordable Care Act, passed by Congress and signed by the President in 2010. In addition to a general understanding of these issues, those attending the conference should better understand how some of the act’s provisions are likely to have an impact in a variety of settings and contexts, including primary care, inpatient hospitalization, end-of-life care, rehabilitation medicine, prescription medications, and mammography.
