Indian women go to US to use sex selection to have sons

While India has a problem with sex selection, it is – technically speaking – illegal. According to a University of California study, under pressure to have sons, some Indian women emigrate to the US to make use of the more readily available reproductive technologies and liberal abortion policies. Some women use sperm sorting or IVF; others aborted female foetuses. (BioEdge)
