Medical tourism across the world has been through difficult times in the last couple of years, and has not been immune to the global economic downturn. The UK outbound medical tourism market has suffered; spending on “discretionary†healthcare has fallen, fewer patients have travelled for treatment, and those that have gone abroad have spent less on treatment. (IMTJ)
