(Washington Post) – Registered nurses protect and promote health, prevent illness and injury and alleviate suffering. We apply critical thinking and the latest evidence, and follow standards, policies and procedures and rules and regulations. Yet what’s central to our practice is ethics. Nurses’ code of ethics helps shape our decision-making and allows us to stay true to their professional values.
