Healthy Tennessee Inmate Fights for Right to Die, Wants to Donate Organs to Save His Sick Parents
June 12, 2015
(People) – A Tennessee prison inmate is asking the state for the right to die to save his ailing parents. Kenneth Thomas, 37, was sentenced to life in prison for the 1999 murder of a man killed during a Nashville robbery. Numerous appeals have failed, and now, though he is not ill, he has petitioned the Tennessee Supreme Court to allow him to die by euthanasia so he can donate his kidneys and heart to his mother and father, according to WKRN.
