The latest version of that story emerged on March 24, when the onetime genetic testing darling 23andMe filed for bankruptcy. Now the fate of 15 million people’s genetic data rests in the hands of a bankruptcy judge.At a hearing on March 26, the judge gave 23andMe permission to seek offers for its users’ data.
